Schenker Singapore (Pte) Ltd was established in 1970 and has since then developed into a fully fledged Logistics Services Provider.
2007 is a milestone in the development of Schenker Singapore towards a key player in the logistics industry. On 1 May 2007, BAX Global Pte Ltd (Singapore office) successfully merged operations with Schenker Singapore.
In 1998, USD 29 Million was invested to set up the multifunctional Schenker Logistics Centre (SLC), followed by the establishment of the Mega-hub in 2006, which is the biggest freight and logistics facility in the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore (ALPS) located within the Free Trade Zone. These flagship facilities form the basis of a state-of-the-art logistics hub for the Asia-Pacific region. Singapore also hosts DB Schenker´s regional head office.
Testimony to the industry-leading position of the organisation in Singapore, Schenker Singapore is the first 3PL in Singapore to be Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certified. Other certifications include TAPA classification ‘A’, C-TPAT, Secure Trade Partnership (STP) administered by Singapore Customs, and QEHS (Quality ISO9001:2015; Environment ISO14001:2004 and Occupational Health and Safety OHSAS18001:2007).
